How to Install the PageTest.AI Shopify App and Enable Live Content Testing

If you're using Shopify, integrating PageTest.AI to start running content tests is quick, easy, and completely code-free. Our official Shopify App takes care of the JavaScript injection and gives you full control over which pages you want to test.

Follow this guide to get up and running in just a few clicks.

Step 1: Install the PageTest.AI Shopify App

1. Log in to your Shopify admin.

2. Go to the Shopify App Store and search for “PageTest.AI.”

3. Click Install App and approve the permissions.

Once installed, you’ll find PageTest.AI listed in your Shopify admin sidebar under Apps.

Step 2: Log in to Your PageTest.AI Account

1. Open the PageTest.AI app from within Shopify.

2. Log in using your existing PageTest.AI credentials.

This syncs your Shopify store with your PageTest.AI account and pulls in all your existing test settings and preferences.

Step 3: Select Pages to Enable Testing

You now need to tell PageTest which Shopify pages to run tests on:

• You can choose “All Pages” and “All Products” for full site coverage

• Or manually select individual pages or product listings for testing

After making your selections, click “Save Settings.”

Step 4: Start Testing with the Chrome Extension

With the PageTest script now active on your Shopify site:

• Use the Chrome Extension to visit any product or landing page

• Select an element (headline, button, CTA, etc.)

• Launch your test in just a few clicks
